Tips for Long-Lasting Beauty

Tips for Long-Lasting Beauty

Caring for your wig or extensions properly helps them last longer and stay beautiful. Please refer to the Hair Care Card included with your wig for tailored care instructions. Below are the basics to help you maintain that soft, silky look:

1. Washing

  • How often: Wash wigs every 8–10 wears; extensions every 10–15 wears.

  • Products: Use sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner. Apply conditioner mid-length to ends (not on lace roots).

  • Method: Detangle gently before washing. Use cool water, rinse thoroughly, and avoid rough handling.

2. Drying & Styling

  • Drying: Air dry flat on a towel. Avoid heat when possible.

  • Heat Styling: Use heat protectant; keep tools on low/medium settings. Limit use to prevent damage.

  • Detangling: Start from the ends using a wide-tooth comb or detangling brush. Be gentle.

3. Storage

  • Wigs: Store on a wig stand and cover with satin or silk to prevent dust.

  • Extensions: Keep in a satin/silk bag. Avoid folding tightly to prevent creases.

4. Extra Tips

  • Moisturize: Use lightweight leave-in conditioner or oil to keep hair soft.

  • Limit Products: Avoid heavy styling products—they weigh the hair down and cause buildup.
